Restore the cycleHumanika is a regenerative civic initiative being organized through Switzerland and Serbia. Its purpose is to help promising ideas cross the distance between vision and public benefit by forming partnerships, preparing projects, and testing solutions with local knowledge.
Its work connects environmental restoration, circular material flows, assistive technology, education, and dignified local employment. Technology is useful only when it restores capacity rather than creating a new dependency.
Humanika can initiate or join grant and tender projects without replacing local organizations. Its role is to assemble coherent teams in which communities, specialists, associations, and institutions build and verify solutions together.
Can an organization grow without losing the human scale that gave it purpose?

From broken loop to living cycle
Humanika starts with what can be observed: what left the cycle, who lost capacity, and which relation must be restored for resources, ecology, technology and community to work together again.
Start with the actual flow of material, energy, attention, responsibility or access. Name the loss before proposing the cure.
A resource problem is often also a relation problem: people, institutions, technology and living systems can be locally optimized while the whole loop fails.
An intervention earns its place when it restores useful capacity and leaves a trace that can be observed, compared and revised.
The point is not to decorate waste with a circular story. The point is to restore a loop that can carry value again.
Where people already look
People do not usually search for Humanika. They search for ecological restoration, mine-water treatment, soil remediation, phytoremediation, bioremediation, resource recovery, circular economy, biodiversity protection or local manufacturing. Humanika connects these fields where a damaged cycle must be understood before it can be redesigned.
Phytoremediation, bioremediation, mycoremediation and constructed wetlands can become parts of ecological restoration, but only after water chemistry, contaminants, site conditions and biological response are measured. When a plant or fungus takes material from soil or water, the material has moved into biomass. Testing determines whether that biomass can safely return to a biological cycle, enter material research, or requires controlled recovery or stabilization.
Circular economy is credible only when each stream has a known composition, mass balance, chain of custody and safe end-of-life route. Humanika connects waste characterization, selective separation, critical-material recovery, leachability and lifecycle testing with realistic options for copper, lead, antimony, polymers, biochar, fibres or other verified clean materials. What cannot be recovered safely remains a controlled residual, not a marketing story.
Water stewardship, biodiversity, local food systems, environmental education and restorative public space belong to the same question as engineering: who gains capacity when an intervention works? Humanika brings local knowledge, specialists, institutions and communities into projects without replacing them, and links ecological repair to dignified employment, local manufacturing and regional resilience.
Jadar, Bor / Majdanpek, ECOMULATOR and Regional Synergy remain clearly labelled as projects, challenges or development concepts. A concept advances only when measurement, safety, engineering and economics support it.
