The starting diagnosis is severe chemical stress: acidic mine drainage, dissolved metals, and flotation residues. Proposed treatment begins with characterization, source control, neutralization, precipitation, flocculation, and monitored water polishing.

Metal recovery and vitrification are retained as development tracks. Their value depends on mineralogy, leachability, energy demand, emissions control, product standards, and a full comparison with safer alternatives.

Living filters

Mycoremediation with selected fungi and food-industry residues is proposed for controlled trials, followed by mycorrhizal support for suitable pioneer plants. Contaminated biomass remains a hazardous stream until testing proves otherwise.

Clean biomass may enter materials or energy loops. Contaminated biomass must be harvested separately and sent to controlled recovery or stabilization. These streams must never be mixed.

Local value

Further concepts include bamboo or hemp composites, geodesic learning spaces, recovery of useful copper compounds, and local manufacture of thermal components. Each becomes a project only after material, market, labor, and safety validation.
